We delivered an AI-powered product recommendation engine for our $4.5B partner’s eCommerce platform, leveraging historical sales data, a TensorFlow-based neural network, and microservice architecture.
Personalized product suggestions were deployed beneath the “Add to Cart” button and exposed to 50% of site traffic via randomized A/B testing. Uplift was measured against a control group receiving no recommendations, enabling precise evaluation of incremental impact on conversion and cart size.

We also developed a similar solution for another $7B client’s digital marketing team, delivering personalized product recommendations at scale for over 50 million customers. Leveraging a TensorFlow-based neural network and microservices architecture, the AI engine generated customer-specific product and image recommendations based on historical sales data. These personalized assets were embedded directly into a Valentine’s Day 2024 email campaign and A/B tested across randomized cohorts — with 50% receiving tailored content and 50% receiving standard emails — to rigorously measure engagement and conversion lift.

We implemented collaborative filtering models for in-app fitting room suggestions and post-purchase lifecycle campaigns.
For product-to-product recommendations, we deployed scikit-learn’s NearestNeighbors to efficiently surface similar items, while user-to-item personalization and quick navigation features were powered by deep learning models such as Neural Collaborative Filtering (NCF) built with TensorFlow and Keras. Seasonal promotions were optimized through NLP-driven gift classifiers using NLTK, enabling dynamic content such as “Top Gifts Under $10” and “Stocking Stuffers.”
The result: We integrated the recommendations during all channels including checkout, as well as, Buy Online & Pick Up In Store journeys — all driving measurable lift in personalization and revenue.
